Microsoft's Xbox One Elite Controller is nearly upon us but peripheral manufacturers Razer and PowerA want you to hold off making that purchase just yet. Both companies have announced new controllers
PowerA FUSION Pro Controller
PowerA's FUSION Pro Controller will set you back $79.99 when it launches on October 26th in the US and contains four buttons on the underside of the device that can be assigned to different functions. You can also change the illumination of the controller, picking from 225 colour combinations. Dual trigger locks are in place for rapid-fire capability and there's the standard 3.5mm audio jack for your headset. A 9.8ft braided USB cable which is "tournament legal" rounds off the set.
Razer Wildcat
From Razer, the Wildcat is a more expensive device, releasing in October for $150.
The Wildcat has two extra bumper buttons towards the middle of the top of the controller and two extra triggers on the back as well. Those triggers can be removed if you like, while the standard triggers will have stops in place for rapid fire. Each button on the device can be remapped at will via a control panel and it sports a 3.5mm audio jack. Razer is throwing in a 10-foot USB cord and they're claiming that the whole shooting match weights 0.57lbs, some 20% lighter than the competition's devices.
