Bungie has announced that Destiny servers will be offline tomorrow i.e. on September 3. This new downtime will be for about SIX hours (expect it to last a bit longer as this is jus tan estimate time). No reason was announced for this sudden Destiny Server Going Offline announcement. We expect that Bungie is making sure that everything goes smooth when Destiny: The Taken King and Patch 2.0 releases later this month.
Bungie via Twitter stated that Destiny will be offline for maintenance starting 8 AM PDT, and is expected to end at PM PDT. Here is what the exact tweet reads from Bungie:
"Thursday September 3rd, Destiny will be offline for maintenance starting 8 AM PDT. Expected completion 2 PM PDT"
