Shortly after Star Wars Battlefront launches, EA will release a free DLC, called Battle Of Jakku. The content will be free to all players, and will be released on December 7th, just a few weeks after the main game. However, if you pre-order the game, you’ll be able to download Battle Of Jakku a week earlier, on December 1st.
EA revealed the first details of Battle of Jakku, with some very interesting artwork as well. As EA puts it, “The Battle of Jakku was the pivotal moment when the New Republic confronted key Imperial holdouts on a remote desert planet.”
The Battle of Jakku ties in with the upcoming Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens, which will be released in December. Actually, the Jakku in the game takes place 29 years before the movie, where it sets up what will happen in the upcoming flick.
The artwork reveals one of the maps, which centers around a crash landing of a Star Destroyer, and will feature both infantry and air combat.
