Xur: Agent of the Nine, the most popular vendor in Destiny, makes a deal with Destiny players with Strange Coins and Motes of Light. With the release of Destiny: The Taken King, the weekly source for Strange Coins will be gone. Does Bungie has any replacement for it?
Mark Noseworth, Executive Producer at Bungie, has stated via Twitter that Destiny Players should not worry about Strange Coins after the release of The Taken King because just the Weekly source will disappear and not the Strange Coins, it will still appear in a variety of activities.
"In Destiny TTK, Strange Coins are not going away even though the Weekly source is gone. Coins will still appear in a variety of activities." said Mark on Twitter.
He further added that as an Offset for disappearance of Strange Coins Weekly Source, they will drop more frequently (from non-Weekly sources).
"Strange Coins Part Deux: to offset the Weekly going away, they will drop more frequently (from non-Weekly sources). Xur still likes 'em."
So there you have it folks, Bungie knows how to keep Destiny players happy, you don't have to worry about anything.
