Bungie has just confirmed via Twitter that the new quest system for Year One content and update Ghost will be available on September 8 alongside the Destiny Patch 2.0. The confirmation came from Mark Noseworthy, Executive Producer at Bungie on Destiny, via Twitter.
When asked by a fan: If Destiny Patch 2.0 drops on September 8, will we have a week to rerun the new story w/ #nolandroid or must we wait for #theTakenKing on the 15th? and to this Noseworthy replied:
"The new quest system for Year 1 content and updated Ghost will be available on 9/8 alongside the 2.0 Update."
Why is this super good advice? Well for those who would like to experience the new quest system as well as nolandroid from grave to black garden they can do so by deleting and releveling in the week before Destiny: The Taken King drops. Vault that gear for a very quick jump to 34 on the September 15th and you are ready to rock Oryx.
OR You make a second/dummy account to experience this to prevent a large loss of time invested into rep progression.
Last but not the least, Moments of triumph must be completed by September 8 so that deleting a character after the September 8 will only cost your currently accumulated faction reps you will have more vault space to store armor and guns.
