Shenmue 3, the next installment in Shenmue video game franchise was announced at E3 2015 for PlayStation 4 and PC. Shenmue Series Creator shocked the gaming world with the announcement of Shenmue 3 Kickstarter campaign (intial target of $2,000,000 achieved in less than 24 hours). Is there any chance of Shenmue 3 coming to other consoles i.e. Xbox One and Wii U? it will be really harsh if these two consoles misses out on Shenmue 3 because it has been a very long wait of 14 YEARS.
Today, Kickstarter updated the Shenmue 3 page with an FAQ and it seems like all hope is not lost for Shenmue 3 arriving on Xbox One and Wii U.
Q: Will there be an Xbox/Wii U/Linux/Mac version for Shenmue 3?
A: Currently we are planning development only for PC (Windows) and PS4. Other platforms have not been decided yet.
Shenmue 3 will be powered by Unreal Engine 4 and it will continue the story of Ryo Hazuki as he seeks to avenge the brutal murder of his father.
