Ubisoft openly admitted that they have some big plans for Watch Dogs as a franchise and new open world video game series. Watch Dogs came out in May 2014 and received generally positive reviews from critics upon release. It seems like sequel "Watch Dogs 2" is already in development as per the details coming out from Ubisoft employee's CV.
Julien Risse works at Ubisoft's Paris studio as Senior Gameplay Programmer, just updated his LinkedIn Profile and mention "Watch Dogs 2, Wach Dogs and Watch Dogs DLC Bad Blood" under category "Project". You can check out the snapshot of the LinkedIn Profile below.
It is expected that Watch Dogs lead protagonist Aiden will return for the sequel. Ubisoft are still keeping their cards close to their chest, who knows they might want to surprise their fans with an official announcement at E3 in June 2015.
